Eric C Liu

Born in Beijing and raised in New Zealand, Eric has had a diverse international background across UK, China, US and New Zealand. Eric brings industry operating experience from Bayer Healthcare R&D as well as from strategic roles within a number of healthcare start-ups. Eric also had stints with The ICEHOUSE in Auckland, Life Science Angels in Palo Alto, Oxford University Innovation in Oxford and UN Headquarters in New York.

Eric is currently working for PharmaVentures based in Oxford UK, a global corporate advisory firm specializing in life science industry M&A, licensing and strategy. Passionate in supporting scientific innovations to achieve maximum patient benefit, Eric is also an angel investor in the UK and US, and is well connected with the local entrepreneurial, scientific and investment communities.

Eric graduated BSc (Honours) in Biomedical Sciences from University of Auckland and studied DPhil Medical Oncology researching colorectal cancer stem cells at University of Oxford under Prof Sir Walter Bodmer. Eric also spent some time at Peking University.
